What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences, or protect forms against automated use. We also use the term cookies to refer to similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage.

Depending on who sets them, cookies may be first-party, when they are managed by OtakuOshi, or third-party, when they are managed by another provider. Depending on how long they last, they may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period of time.
