OtakuOshi affiliate program for creators

The OtakuOshi affiliate program for creators lets you invite other creators with your personal link and earn a commission on what they make for a set period. It’s free for you and for everyone you invite.

How the affiliate program for creators works

On OtakuOshi, the affiliate program and the creator referral program are the same thing. You’re not pushing products or signing up fans for a cut. You’re recommending the platform to other creators, whether they do cosplay, illustration, doujinshi, ASMR or any other kind of work that fits here.

If you know cosplayers, illustrators, manga artists or voice creators who don’t have a profile yet, send them your personal link. When they sign up with it and start earning, you get a commission on what they bring in.

That commission is added to your regular earnings and paid out with them, in the same monthly cycle. Joining costs nothing, and the creator you invite signs up exactly like anyone else.

Your commission rate, the length of the period and the status of each referral are all shown in your creator dashboard. That’s where you’ll always see the current terms, so check them there before you do the math.

Start referring creators in three steps

Everything is managed from your creator dashboard.

01

Activate your creator profile

The program is open to creators with an active, verified profile. If you don’t have an account yet, you can become a creator for free and read up on how OtakuOshi works before you invite anyone.

02

Copy your referral link

Your unique link lives in the referrals section of your dashboard. Share it on your socials, in your Discord server, in your newsletter or in a DM to someone you already collaborate with.

03

Earn when they succeed

Once a creator signs up with your link and starts bringing in revenue, your commission shows up in your dashboard and is paid out with your monthly earnings.

Why it pays to recommend OtakuOshi

Otaku culture runs on community. Cosplayers who keep booking shoots with the same photographers, illustrators who team up with fanfic writers, doujin circles that share a table in artist alley at every con. If you’re part of a crew like that, you’re the best person to explain OtakuOshi to someone who hasn’t heard of it, because you know what they create and what their audience expects.

The referral program lets you make money recommending OtakuOshi, as extra income that doesn’t depend on posting more. And since your commission is tied to what the referred creator earns, it makes sense to invite people who’ll really make the most of the platform. That makes the platform better for everyone, fans included.

You don’t need to turn into a salesperson, either. Usually it’s enough to share how it’s going for you, show how you set up your profile or send that person the guide for their type of content so they can decide whether it’s a fit. You’ll find the main ones below.

Who to invite

The creators who do best on OtakuOshi have one thing in common: a community that values their work.

📸

Cosplayers and photographers

Your shoot partners, the photographers you work with all the time and cosplayers you know from cons like Anime Expo and from contests. There’s a guide for cosplay models and another for cosplay photographers.

🎨

Illustrators and manga artists

Fan artists, doujin and webcomic creators who already take commissions or post on social media. Send them the page for manga artists or the one for doujinshi artists.

✍️

Writers

Fanfiction and short-fiction authors with loyal readers waiting for every new chapter. They have their own guide for fanfiction writers.

🎧

Voice, ASMR and animation

Audio creators, voice actors, animators and Live2D or VRoid artists. They can start with the guides on anime ASMR and roleplay or anime animation.

🛡️

Prop makers and crafters

Makers of props, armor and accessories who can sell tutorials, patterns and build logs. Point them to the guide for cosplay prop makers.

🎥

VTubers and streamers

Creators with a live audience who want a home for exclusive content. If they stream with their own model, point them to the guide on VTuber and VRoid models.

Best practices for sharing your referral link

Be upfront. Make it clear the link is yours when you share it, especially in public posts or your newsletter.
Don’t spam. Mass messages, unsolicited DMs and repeated comments on other people’s profiles hurt the community and your reputation.
Don’t promise what you can’t control. Explain how the platform works without guaranteeing specific earnings. Every profile grows at its own pace.
Don’t refer yourself. Duplicate accounts, or accounts opened just to collect your own commission, don’t earn anything.

The affiliate program is governed by the Terms of Service, the Fan-Creator Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy. The general financial terms are on the payouts page.

Got a situation that doesn’t fit these guidelines? Check the Help Center or message us through the contact page before you share your link.
