About OtakuOshi
A subscription platform built from the ground up for the people who make otaku culture and the fans who back them. Here’s what you should know about OtakuOshi: what it is, who it’s for, which company runs it and how to reach the team.
What is OtakuOshi?
OtakuOshi is a subscription content platform made for the otaku creative scene. It brings together cosplayers, illustrators, manga artists, voice actors, animators, prop makers and digital artists with fans who value their work and want to support it directly.
The model is simple. Each creator posts exclusive content (cosplay sets, high-res illustrations, manga and doujinshi chapters, ASMR audio, tutorials, 3D models or props), and fans subscribe to the profiles they care about. Every subscription goes straight to the artist. There’s no algorithm deciding who gets to see your work and no middlemen getting between you and your community.
The community is international, and every creator posts in whatever language they like. The platform handles payments in multiple currencies and gives you tools for publishing, managing subscribers, direct messaging and analytics, so your time goes into creating instead of admin. For the step-by-step version, see how OtakuOshi works.
What we stand for
These principles shape our product decisions, our policies and the way we treat the community. If you want to learn more about OtakuOshi before you sign up, start here: each principle points to the policy that spells it out.
Built for otaku creators
We’re not a general-purpose platform with an anime tab tacked on. Categories, tools, search and the overall look are designed around the formats the otaku scene actually runs on: photo sets, serialized manga, asset packs, ASMR audio and 3D files.
Direct income
Every creator sets their own prices and receives what their subscriptions earn each month. OtakuOshi handles billing, currency conversion and sending your funds to the country where you live, with no hidden middlemen. The full details are on our creator payouts page.
Security and privacy
Encrypted payments, ID verification for anyone posting adult content, age verification for users, personal data protection and strict legal compliance. You can read how we put that into practice on our security page and in the privacy policy.
Diversity at the core
Every form of artistic expression within otaku culture has a place here, whatever your gender, orientation, style or background. Creativity doesn’t come in just one shape, and our diversity policy puts that in writing.
Full transparency
Our rules are published, easy to understand and applied the same way to everyone. The terms of service, ethics policy, fan-creator agreement and publishing principles are all a click away and written in plain language. If we get something wrong, our corrections policy explains how we fix it.
Active response
Every issue has a set response time and gets followed through until it’s resolved. No tickets lost in a queue, no canned replies that ignore your situation. The specific timelines are in our active response policy.
Who is OtakuOshi for?
OtakuOshi is built for two groups that need each other. On one side, creators who make otaku content and want to earn from it directly. On the other, fans looking for quality exclusive content who want to support the artists they love.
If you’re a creator, you can post in any of the platform’s categories: cosplay, illustration and fan art, manga and doujin, animation, ASMR and character voice, tutorials, 3D and VRoid avatars, props and crafting, or R-15 and R-18 rated content, always behind age verification. You decide what you post, what you charge and how often. Signing up is free, with no contracts or fixed fees, and our creators page shows you how to get started.
If you’re a fan, a monthly subscription unlocks the full content of your favorite creators. Beyond high-quality downloads, many offer direct messages, custom commissions, early access to new releases and polls where you get a say. It’s a direct, two-way relationship, the one between an oshi (your favorite) and a shiensha (the person who supports them). That’s where our name comes from, and we explain it in more depth on our brand page.
