Complaints and claims

Your voice matters: file an official complaint

OtakuOshi provides a formal complaints and claims channel so you can report any problem, breach, or situation that affects your experience on the platform. Every complaint is reviewed by our team and handled according to the time frames and procedures set out in our Active Response Policy. This channel is separate from general contact: here we handle formal claims that require investigation and resolution.

What is the complaints page and what is it for?

The OtakuOshi complaints page is the official, centralized channel for creators and fans to file formal claims about any aspect of their experience on the platform. Unlike the contact page, which is intended for general inquiries, questions, and basic technical support, this channel is specifically designed to handle complaints that require investigation, follow-up, and a formal resolution.

Each complaint submitted through this form generates an internal record, is assigned to a member of the support team, and is handled within the time frames established in the Active Response Policy. You will receive an automatic email confirmation with the details of your complaint, and you can follow up by contacting our team directly if you need to add information or check the status of your case.

OtakuOshi takes its community’s satisfaction very seriously. This channel exists not only to resolve individual problems, but also to detect patterns, improve the platform’s policies, and ensure a safe, fair, and transparent environment for all users, creators and fans alike.

How the complaints process works

From the moment you submit your complaint until it is resolved, the process follows clear and transparent steps to ensure your case gets the attention it deserves.

01

Submit your complaint

Fill out the complaint form with all relevant information: your username, the type of complaint, a detailed description of the problem, and any evidence you have (screenshots, URLs, dates). The more information you provide, the faster we can act. Once you submit the form, you will receive an automatic email confirmation.

02

Review and investigation

Our team receives your complaint, verifies the information, and assigns it to an agent who specializes in the type of problem you are reporting. Complaints are prioritized by severity and urgency. The team investigates the case: it reviews the content involved, checks the platform’s records, verifies the applicable policies (Publishing Principles, Terms of Service, transaction records) and, if necessary, contacts the parties involved. If we need additional information, we will contact you by email.

03

Resolution and communication

Once the investigation is complete, we will notify you of the resolution by email. The response includes an explanation of the outcome, the actions taken (if any), and the options available if you disagree with the resolution, including the possibility of an appeal. Response times are defined in the Active Response Policy and vary according to the type and complexity of the complaint.

What you can report through this channel

This channel is open to any legitimate complaint or claim related to your experience on OtakuOshi. Below are the most common reasons, so you can identify the category that best fits your case.

Unsatisfactory content. If you have paid for a subscription or for pay-to-unlock content and believe the content you received does not match what the creator promised or advertised. Include details about what you expected and what you received so we can assess the situation.

Inappropriate or illegal content. Any content that violates the law or the platform’s Terms of Service, Ethics Policy, or Publishing Principles. This includes content that incites hatred, content that sexualizes minors (zero tolerance), non-consensual content, extremely violent content, or any material that violates applicable law.

Breach of terms. When a creator or a fan violates the platform’s Terms of Service. This may include prohibited behavior, deceptive practices, misuse of the platform, spam, requests for off-platform payments, or any other conduct contrary to the rules.

Payment or billing issues. Unrecognized charges, duplicate charges, problems with automatic renewal, discrepancies in amounts, or any issue related to transactions on the platform. Include the date, the amount, and the associated creator or item to speed up the investigation.

Refund requests. If you believe you are entitled to a refund for a payment made on the platform. Include the payment details and the reason for your request. Each case is evaluated individually under the terms of the Fan-Creator Agreement.

Stolen or leaked content (DMCA). If you are a creator and have found that your content has been shared without authorization outside the platform, or that your original content has been copied by another user within OtakuOshi. We can handle DMCA takedown requests on your behalf. Include the URL where the content appears and the original post so we can take action.

Harassment or abusive behavior. Any form of harassment, intimidation, threats, or abusive behavior by another user, whether through private messages, comments, or any other channel within the platform. OtakuOshi has zero tolerance for harassment.

Impersonation. If someone is using your name, your photos, or your brand to create a fake profile on OtakuOshi, or if you come across a profile impersonating another person or entity.

Serious technical problems. Platform errors that significantly affect your experience: loss of content, payment failures, problems accessing your account, or any bug that prevents normal use of the platform. For minor technical issues, use the contact page.

Appeal of a suspension or deactivation. If your account has been suspended or your content has been deactivated and you believe the decision was wrong, you can file a formal appeal. Appeals are reviewed by a team member other than the one who made the original decision.

Privacy violation. If you believe your personal data has been exposed, shared, or used improperly, or if another user has posted your personal information without your consent.

Important information before you submit your complaint

So that we can handle your complaint as efficiently as possible, please keep the following points in mind before you fill out the form.

📝

Be specific and detailed

Include all relevant information: usernames involved, dates, amounts, content URLs, and a clear description of what happened. Vague complaints or complaints without context are harder to investigate and may delay resolution. If you have screenshots or documents that support your case, attach them to the form.

⏱️

Response times

Our team is committed to responding within the time frames defined in the Active Response Policy. Complaints involving illegal content, harassment, or a risk to users’ safety are handled with top priority. You will receive an immediate confirmation when you submit your complaint and a formal response once the investigation is concluded.

📎

Attach evidence

Screenshots, URLs, emails, and any other documents that support your complaint are essential to speeding up the investigation. The form accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, PDF, MP4, and ZIP files up to 5 MB each. If your evidence exceeds this limit, compress it into a ZIP file.

🔒

Confidentiality

Your complaint is confidential. The information you submit will be handled exclusively by the OtakuOshi support team for the purpose of managing your case. Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.

🔄

Following up on your complaint

If you need to add information to your complaint after submitting it, or want to check the status of your case, you can reply directly to the confirmation email you received or contact our team through the contact page, including the details of your original complaint.

⚖️

Resolution and appeals

If you disagree with the resolution of your complaint, you can request an additional review. Appeals are evaluated by a team member other than the one who handled the original case. OtakuOshi is committed to handling every complaint impartially and transparently in accordance with its internal policies.

Complaints and claims form

Use the form below to file your complaint officially. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. You will receive an automatic email confirmation once your complaint has been submitted. If you would rather contact us for a general matter, or you have an inquiry that is not a formal complaint, use the contact page.

Complaints vs. contact: what’s the difference

OtakuOshi offers two separate communication channels so you can use the one that best suits your situation. Understanding the difference will help you send your message to the right channel and get a faster, more appropriate response.

Contact page (/us/contact/). This is the platform’s general communication channel. Use it for questions about how OtakuOshi works, questions about your account, basic technical support, questions about our policies, requests for information, suggestions for improvement, or any message that does not require a formal investigation. Contact inquiries are answered in the order received and do not open a complaint file.

Complaints page (/us/complaints/). This is the formal claims channel. Use it when you need to report a problem that requires investigation: inappropriate content, breach of terms, payment issues, harassment, impersonation, suspension appeals, or any situation you believe affects your rights as a user. Complaints generate an internal record, are assigned to a specialized agent, and are handled within the time frames of the Active Response Policy.

If you are not sure which one to use, you can always start with the contact page. If our team determines that your message needs to be handled formally as a complaint, they will redirect it to the appropriate channel and let you know.

    Complaints for creators

If you are a creator on OtakuOshi, these are the most common situations in which you may need to file a formal complaint.

    🔏

    Stolen or leaked content

If you find that your content has been shared without your authorization on other websites, social media, or platforms, file a complaint stating the URL where your content appears and the original post on OtakuOshi. Our team can handle DMCA takedown requests on your behalf to protect your intellectual property.

    ⚠️

Appeal of a deactivation or suspension

If your content has been deactivated or your account has been suspended and you believe the decision was wrong, file an appeal through this channel. Explain your case in detail and provide any evidence that supports your position. Appeals are reviewed by a team member other than the one who made the original decision.

    🚫

    Abusive behavior by fans

If a fan harasses you, threatens you, sends you inappropriate messages, or engages in any behavior that violates the Terms of Service, report the situation with screenshots and details. Remember that you can also restrict or block fans directly from your creator dashboard.

    💸

    Payment or payout issues

If you notice discrepancies in your earnings, unprocessed payments, unjustified delays, or any issue with the transactions on your creator account, file a complaint with the payment details (date, amount, description) so that our finance team can investigate the case.

    🕵️

    Impersonation of your identity

If someone has created a fake profile using your name, your photos, your brand, or your content to pass themselves off as you on OtakuOshi, report the situation with links to the fake profile and to your legitimate profile. Our team will verify the situation and take immediate action to remove the impersonating profile.

    🔐

    Privacy violation

If a fan or any other user has posted your personal information without your consent (your real name, location, contact details, or any information you have not voluntarily made public), file a complaint with the evidence. OtakuOshi has zero tolerance for doxxing and the unauthorized exposure of personal data.

    Complaints for fans

If you are a fan on OtakuOshi, these are the most frequent reasons for filing a formal complaint through this channel.

    😞

    Unsatisfactory content

If you have paid for a subscription or pay-to-unlock content and believe what you received does not match what the creator advertised, describe what you expected and what you received. We will assess the situation under the terms of the Fan-Creator Agreement.

    🚨

    Inappropriate or illegal content

Report any content that breaks the law, incites hatred, sexualizes minors, shows non-consensual content, or violates the platform’s Ethics Policy. These complaints receive top priority. Include the URL of the content and screenshots.

    💳

    Payment issues

Unrecognized charges, duplicate charges, problems with automatic renewal, or any discrepancy in the transactions associated with your fan account. Include the date, the amount, and the creator or item so that we can trace the transaction quickly.

    💰

    Refund request

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, submit your request with the payment details and the reason. Each case is evaluated individually under the terms of the Fan-Creator Agreement. Refunds are not guaranteed in every case; see the conditions in the complaints section for fans.

    😤

    Harassment or abusive behavior

If a creator or another fan sends you threatening, offensive, or intimidating messages, or engages in any conduct that makes you feel unsafe on the platform, report the situation with screenshots and dates. OtakuOshi has zero tolerance for harassment and will act as quickly as possible.

    🏷️

    Misrated content

If you come across content that should be rated R-15 or R-18 but appears as general content, or if you find a rating that does not match the actual content, report the post with its URL and a description of the problem so that our team can review the rating.

    Related policies and documents

Complaints are evaluated and resolved on the basis of OtakuOshi’s official policies. We recommend reviewing the relevant documents to understand the framework within which your case is handled and the rights and obligations of each party.

    Complaints FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about the complaints and claims process at OtakuOshi.

Response times depend on the type and severity of the complaint. Complaints involving illegal content, harassment, or a safety risk are handled with top priority and may receive a response within hours. General complaints are answered within the time frames established in the Active Response Policy. In all cases, you will receive an automatic confirmation when you submit your complaint so you know it was received.

To investigate your complaint and notify you of the resolution, we need your username and email address. However, your identity is kept confidential from the other party involved. In other words, if you report a creator or a fan, that person will not know who filed the complaint unless it is strictly necessary to resolve the case, in which case we would ask you first.

You can request an additional review by replying to the resolution email or by filing a new complaint under the “Appeal of suspension or deactivation” category and stating that it is an appeal of a prior resolution. Appeals are reviewed by a team member other than the one who handled the original case, to ensure impartiality.

Yes. The complaint form is open both to registered users and to people who do not have an account on the platform. If you come across illegal content, impersonation, copyright infringement, or any other situation that requires intervention, you can report it even if you are not a user. In the username field, enter “I don’t have an account” and provide the information we need to investigate.

Yes. If the investigation of a complaint determines that a user has violated the Terms of Service, the consequences may range from a formal warning to deactivation of content, temporary suspension, or permanent closure of the account, depending on the severity and any repeat offenses. Action is taken according to the procedures established in the platform’s policies.

OtakuOshi takes the integrity of the complaints system very seriously. False or malicious complaints, or complaints designed to harm another user without grounds, constitute a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in action against the complainant’s account, including warnings and, in serious or repeated cases, suspension of the account.

The form lets you attach one file per submission, up to 5 MB. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, PDF, MP4, and ZIP. If you need to send multiple files, compress them into a ZIP file before attaching them. If your evidence exceeds the size limit, say so in the description and our team will contact you to arrange delivery through another channel.

Blocking a user is a personal action that prevents that person from interacting with you on the platform. Filing a complaint is a formal step that involves an investigation by the OtakuOshi team and may result in action against the reported user’s account. If someone is harassing you or violating the Terms of Service, we recommend doing both: block the user to protect yourself immediately, and file a complaint so the team can investigate and take action.

Yes. Select “Refund request” as the complaint type and include the payment details (date, amount, creator, item) and the reason for your request. Each refund request is evaluated individually under the terms of the Fan-Creator Agreement. Not all payments are refundable; the conditions depend on the type of transaction and the circumstances of the case.

No. Your identity as the complainant is kept confidential. OtakuOshi does not share your personal data with the party involved unless legally required or strictly necessary to resolve the case, and in the latter situation we would ask you before disclosing any information. Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

All response times and priority levels are set out in the Active Response Policy. This document defines acknowledgment times, maximum resolution times by complaint category, and escalation procedures in case a resolution takes longer than usual.

This complaint form serves as OtakuOshi’s official complaints book. All complaints submitted are logged internally with the date, time, and full content. If your jurisdiction requires a specific complaints book format, contact our team through the contact page and we will provide the information in the legally required format.

Yes. If you wish to withdraw a complaint, contact our team through the contact page with the details of the original complaint. Please note, however, that if the complaint reported illegal content or a situation affecting other users’ safety, OtakuOshi may continue the investigation independently due to legal or safety obligations, even if the complainant withdraws the complaint.
