Monetize your otaku content on a platform built for cosplayers and artists
Cosplay, manga and doujinshi, illustration, fanfiction, ASMR, 3D and plenty more. On OtakuOshi you never have to explain what a ROM is or who your oshi is. You post for your fans, get paid every month and keep up to 80% of what you earn.
A creator platform that actually gets cosplay and anime art
OtakuOshi was built for people who make cosplay sets, doujinshi, fan art and everything in between. Cosplay sets, doujinshi and fan art each get their own category, with tags and rules made for that format. It’s a platform for otaku content creators, with an audience that already knows what it’s looking for.
Maybe you’re a cosplayer whose followers keep asking for the full set, or an illustrator who’s been taking commissions for years and wants something steadier. Either way, what makes the difference here is the context. Your cosplay set shares the storefront with photographers, doujinshi artists, indie voice actors and VRoid artists, and the people who land on your profile came looking for exactly that kind of work. They didn’t just stumble in.
Fans find you through their favorite character, their fandom or the format they love. Categories, tags and content rules are designed around what you make, adult content included, which is handled with age verification and a clear R-15 and R-18 rating system.
Your income here doesn’t depend on advertisers. Your fans pay you directly because they value your work, and you set the prices. We take care of payments and security, so you can spend your time on the work your fans pay for.
What kind of creator are you?
Each creator type has its own guide with formats, typical pricing and tips for getting started. And if you do more than one thing, even better: you can mix formats on a single profile.
ASMR and character voice
Audio roleplay, character voices (Japanese-style "situation voice" audio) and binaural ASMR.
How to monetize your otaku content from one profile
If you want income that holds steady from month to month, don’t rely on a single stream. On OtakuOshi you can stack several, depending on what you make and how your community likes to support you. Every tool is covered in detail on how OtakuOshi works.
Monthly subscription tiers. Set up several tiers with different prices and perks, from a basic one for fans who just want to support you to higher tiers with exclusive content, downloads or early access. They renew automatically every month, and you can also offer discounted bundles for three, six or twelve months.
Pay-per-view unlocks. Sell a single set, volume or pack for a one-time payment, even to people who aren’t subscribed. You set the price of each post, and fans see a blurred preview before they pay.
Paid messages and commissions. Take custom requests and send unlockable content by DM, to one fan or to your whole audience at once.
Tips. Fans can tip you from your profile, on any post or during a livestream, and it all adds to your earnings for the month.
Livestreams. Go live with OBS (RTMP) or straight from your browser to show your creative process, run a Q&A or host an exclusive event for subscribers. You decide whether a stream is free, subscribers-only or open to tips.
Referral program. Invite other creators with your link and earn a commission on their income for a set period. The details are on the affiliate program page.
Here’s a simple cosplay setup that doesn’t overcomplicate things. Post a couple of free sample photos to pull in new people, keep the full high-res set for subscribers, sell each character’s ROM separately as a pay-per-view unlock and take just a handful of commissions a month. The guide for cosplay models has more ideas for selling your photos. If you illustrate, the setup is very similar, only with layered PSD files, timelapses and character commissions.
Creators keep up to 80% of their earnings and get paid every month. The full financial terms, including the commission, payout methods and timelines, are on the payouts page.
Get started in four steps
You don’t need a huge following to start. You need content someone cares about.
Create your creator profile
Sign up for free at fans.otakuoshi.com, turn on your creator profile in settings and pick your stage name, your main category and a profile picture and banner that represent your work.
Verify your identity
For safety and legal reasons, every creator verifies their identity and confirms they’re an adult before they can get paid. Your personal details are never shown to your fans.
Set up your tiers and post
Set your prices, have a first batch of content ready so new subscribers find something when they arrive, and pick a posting schedule you can actually keep.
Share your profile and get paid
Link your profile from your socials (and your Discord server, if you run one), let your community know and collect your earnings every month.
Your identity and your content, protected
A lot of otaku creators prefer to keep their personal life separate from their work. On OtakuOshi you can post under a stage name, your verification details are never made public, and in your security settings you can block specific users and restrict access from certain countries or regions.
To protect your content, you can turn on an automatic watermark with a link to your profile, plus DRM protection that makes screenshots and direct downloads harder. Files are served through signed links that expire, and when your work shows up somewhere else without permission, we handle the takedown. You can flag it through complaints and reports. There’s more on our security page.
The rules that apply to all content are in the acceptable use policy and the fan-creator agreement. If you post adult content, also read the pages on R-15 content, R-18 content and the 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement.
Tips for your first few months as a creator
Post on a regular schedule. A steady calendar, even a modest one, keeps more subscribers than posting a ton at once and then going quiet. Scheduled posts help you stay consistent when you’re away at a con or buried in finals week.
Offer something that isn’t on your socials. Fans subscribe for what they can’t see for free, like your process, full versions, high-res files or the extras from each shoot.
Listen to your community. Polls and requests tell you which characters, formats or stories your audience wants next.
Keep pricing simple at first. Two or three clearly different tiers work better than a long menu of options. A free trial or a launch discount helps your first fans take the leap.
Nail the first impression. Pin an intro post or your best work to the top of your profile, because that’s the first thing people see when they click through from your socials.
Collab with other creators. Joint shoots and projects between cosplayers, photographers, illustrators and writers are one of the fastest ways to reach new fans.
