Contact OtakuOshi

Login trouble, a billing query or a feature that’s baffling you? Use this page to contact OtakuOshi and your message goes straight to the people who run support. Fill in the form and we’ll get back to you promptly. Prefer to sort it yourself? Our help centre answers the most common questions.

When to contact OtakuOshi here

Think of this as the front desk. It’s the place for platform questions, tech support, problems with your account and suggestions, in short, anything that doesn’t need a formal case opened.

Messages are picked up first come, first served, and answered within the timescales set out in our active response policy. Certain situations call for an investigation instead, for example reporting a post that breaks the rules, harassment, a refund claim or challenging a suspension. Those belong on the complaints page, where a dedicated case handler takes ownership and tracks the matter to the end.

What can you get in touch about?

There’s a drop-down on the form for the subject. Getting it right means the person best placed to help sees your message first. A quick guide to each choice follows.

🔧

Account support

Locked out, forgotten your password, identity check stuck halfway, or 2FA (two-factor authentication) refusing to cooperate. Editing your profile, plus general admin on a fan or creator account, also goes under this heading.

🖥️

Technical problem

A file that refuses to upload, a clip or track that won’t play, DMs that don’t go through, missing alerts, or some other glitch getting in the way of normal use.

💳

Payments and billing

Commission, your digital wallet, how you’d like to receive creator earnings, the status of a particular payment or which cards and methods we take. Anything money-related inside OtakuOshi fits here.

📄

Content questions

Whether something is allowed, if you should label a post R-15 or R-18, how to read our publishing principles, where we stand on AI tools, or how to handle uploads showing someone other than you.

🤝

Partnerships and collaborations

Aimed at companies, brands, organisers, publications and groups hoping to team up with us, whether that’s sponsorship, a commercial arrangement, a co-hosted event or a technical integration. Our partnerships page goes into more depth.

📰

Press and media

For reporters, editors and YouTubers or podcasters after official statements, platform facts, comments or artwork from us. A media kit is waiting on the press page.

Special requests

Some requests are processed separately. If one of these describes your situation, the instructions below will speed things up.

Authorities and legal requests. Law enforcement, regulators and government bodies carrying out an official inquiry who need details about OtakuOshi or a particular member should select “Authority or legal request” on the form. Supporting official documents are required with every submission; requests lacking them cannot be actioned.

Account deletion. Closing your account for good can be done in your profile settings or by sending us this form. First, any creator balance still owed to you is settled and any active subscriptions are cancelled. Please be sure, as deletion is final: posts, activity and personal data are wiped as described in our privacy policy.

Data protection rights (GDPR). Want a copy of your data, a correction, erasure, a portable export or to object to how it’s used? Write “GDPR” as the subject of your message and we’ll respond within the time limits set by data protection law. Our privacy policy explains more.

Contact form

Complete each field and pick the subject that best describes your query, which helps us route it. Expect our answer by email shortly. Formal complaints needing an investigation should go through the complaints page rather than this form.

FAQs on how to contact OtakuOshi

Common questions about getting through to the team and what to expect afterwards.

That varies with the subject: 24 working hours for payment issues, 24 to 48 working hours for general questions, and 3 to 5 working days for partnership proposals. An auto-confirmation lands in your inbox the moment you hit send. Our active response policy lists every timescale.

This page handles everyday questions and support where no investigation is involved. Head to the complaints page when you need a tracked case with a written outcome, say for harassment, a post breaking the rules, a billing dispute or an appeal. Unsure? Message us here anyway; the team will redirect it if it belongs elsewhere.

You will: an automated email recapping your message is sent as soon as the form goes through. No sign of it after a few minutes? Have a look in your junk folder. If it’s genuinely missing, write to hello@otakuoshi.com instead.

We don’t run a phone line at the moment; help is provided in writing, via the form or email. Our social channels are for announcements, so support questions sent there can’t be tracked properly. Please stick to the form or email.

Not at all: the form is open to everyone. When your question concerns an existing account, mention the username so we can pull it up quickly.

Our support staff reply in Japanese, Spanish and English. Messages in other languages are still welcome; we’ll try our best, but answering might be slower and may rely on a translation tool.

Use the form, or email hello@otakuoshi.com, putting “GDPR” as the subject. Tell us your full name, your account’s email address and which right you’re using: access, rectification, erasure, portability or objection. We’ll reply within the statutory deadline, and the privacy policy has further information.

Officials from police, regulatory or public bodies should pick “Authority or legal request” in the form, which sends it to our legal team. Official documentation proving the request is genuine is mandatory; without it, nothing is processed. Replies follow whichever legal deadlines apply.

Gladly. Select “Suggestion or feedback”, then describe your idea. Every suggestion gets read and fed into our roadmap discussions. Not all of them will be built, of course, yet ideas raised again and again by members do shape what we prioritise.
